Innovator. If people were prepared to do this ahead of time (bring their phones) you could do this exercise as part of a class in OWR if you come again next year. Then talk about and share the value of different creativity types. That would be fun.

Good idea, Jim! It would be a good opening night exercise. Everyone could put their creative type on their name tag and meet others.

Deep thinker here. Spot on. This was fascinating. Thanks for posting it!

I came up as The Visionary. Interesting, because I saw myself in so many other categories, but not this one!

Innovator! The INNOVATOR sees everything through the lens of possibilities and progress, problems and solutions. You feel the most yourself when you’re using your intellectual and creative powers to solve problems and dream up new and improved ways of doing things. Your attention is largely focused on the world around you, and you’re constantly probing its structures and systems to find ways to push things forward.

This goes right along with every other personality assessment I've ever taken. <grin> (Clifton Strengths: Strategic, Activator, Learner, Communication, Analytical; MBTI: ENTJ)

Thanks! That was fun. :)

Love a test - thanks for the link Grant. I turned out to be the Adventurer - easily inspired but struggles to commit to see one project through (who me?!)

Visionary. The description fit me more than any other type, but I recognized how sometimes we must flex to other types. The questions for the test were interesting. I can usually see where these tests are headed. This one was different.

Unsurprisingly, I’m a Visionary. Always seeing the possibilities in everything and everyone, trying all the things, jumping in before making a plan... :) Weirdly, it says I should partner with a Thinker, which I just divorced. Maybe just a *different* Thinker. 😋

Haha, yeah, I guess the types might come in a lot of types themselves, so maybe a different thinker.

Dreamer, interesting test. The super power one was hard for me. I am a very curious person, I ask too many questions sometimes. Endurance however is my strength.

Yeah, I had to choose endurance for that one.

I'm a dreamer too! It's a visually beautiful test. Though I couldn't help but think that the questions were a little too esoteric to really gauge...

Haha, yeah, I think the test is more of an indicator or just something to think about than anything truly factual.

There were a few questions I paused on, because there is a piece of me that could have answered either way-- the cocoon or the beehive, why or how, etc. Dreamer, though. Enjoy your weekend, Grant. I'm headed out to give the four leggeds a gallop. S

Yeah, I need an adjective before "dreamer." A dogwalker dreamer.

I came up as Artist on this assessment and was surprised. I like to think of myself as a Producer.

There was one question I thought I answered wrong, but couldn't go back. I now wonder if that one answer shifted things to another category. It's hardly scientific, after all.

Expand full comment

Exactly, this is not science but one of many archetype finding methods to entertain us. Suprised but flattered: I came out as a Visionary. Hey, yeah, I recognize myself. Visionary, that's me!

Another dreamer here. I could've guessed that. Ha.

Saving. This looks fun and I'll come back to it!
